Some people experience mild sensitivity during treatment, especially to cold drinks. It's temporary and usually settles within a day or two of finishing. We can recommend a desensitising toothpaste to use alongside your kit if needed.
Results typically last 12 to 18 months depending on your diet and habits. Tea, coffee, red wine and smoking can cause gradual fading. The good news is you keep your trays, so a quick top-up at home brings them straight back.
Whitening gel only works on natural tooth enamel, so crowns, veneers and bonding won't change shade. If you're planning other cosmetic work, we'd usually recommend whitening first so everything can be colour-matched to your brighter shade.
